Air fried cabbage is amazing! It’s a healthy side dish that's both delicious and has great texture. The air fryer helps deliver crisp edges and tender, flavorful cabbage in a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods. I love eating cabbage made this way!
I have been eating more vegetables prepared in my air fryer. The texture and flavor are so good and air fryers cook food quickly. My other favorite vegetables prepared in this appliance are air fried cauliflower and air fried roasted brussel sprouts. So good! Left overs at my house are refrigerated overnight and put into a salad the next day - so yum!
Just a couple of easy meat air fried recipes for you. Brats in the air fryer are so quick and easy! And they are perfectly cooked. My favorite chicken breast recipe is now rosemary chicken in the air fryer.

Why I love this
It's both flavorful and healthy! Compared to traditional cooking methods like sauteing or roasting, air frying uses significantly less oil. This translates to a lighter and healthier side dish that's perfect for those watching their calorie intake.
Air frying cabbage is fast and convenient. Simply chop your cabbage, toss it with your seasonings, and let the air fryer work its magic! Minimal prep and cleanup make this a perfect side dish for busy weeknights.
It's a customizable versatile recipe. I'll provide you with my every day recipe and you can then feel free to experiment with different spices and herbs like smoked paprika, cumin, or Italian seasoning. You can even add a drizzle of hot sauce or a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for an extra kick!
I love the leftovers! Unfortunately, often there aren't any. I really enjoy air fried leftovers in salads. They add a whole new level of flavor and texture.
Ingredients
Such simple ingredients but so delicious!
- ½ head of green cabbage chopped into bite sized pieces
- Apple Cider Vinegar - or you can try a different flavored vinegar
- Olive oil - vegetable oil also works. I don't like using extra virgin olive oil because it isn't meant for high cooking temperatures.
- Your favorite course salt. I usually use kosher salt but any salt will work.
- Smoked or regular paprika - it adds a bit of flavor but the main purpose is adding color to the cooked cabbage. Food that looks good, usually tastes great!
Instructions
Preheat Air Fryer to 375°F. Grease air fryer basket or spray tray with nonstick spray.
Step 1
Cut cabbage in ½, remove core and then chop into bite sized pieces. Use the other ½ another day or for another recipe. Place cabbage into a medium sized bowl.
Step 2
Add the rest of the ingredients, reserving a little of the paprika to sprinkle on top at the end.
Step 3
Air fry for 5 minutes. Stir around. Air fry for another 5 minutes. Stir. Watch closely for the next 2-3 minutes. Cabbage will start crisping but can over crisp (burn) quickly. I remove from heat once cabbage starts browning around some of the edges.
Sprinkle paprika over cooked cabbage (optional).
Storage
Place in an enclosed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you missed it, this tastes awesome added to a salad!
I don't recommend freezing.
