Air fried cabbage is amazing! It’s a healthy side dish that's both delicious and has great texture. The air fryer helps deliver crisp edges and tender, flavorful cabbage in a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods. I love eating cabbage made this way!
1tablespoonOlive oilvegetable or canola oils are good substitutions. You want a light flavored oil, so not extra virgin olivle oil.
1tablespoonApple Cider VinegarAny favorite vinegar will work
1teaspoonSaltI prefer a course salt like Kosher salt.
½teaspoonGarlic Powder
½teaspoonPaprikaReserve some for garnish at the end. Smoked paprika is great, if you have it handy.
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 375℉. Spray air fryer tray with nonstick spray. (I use the oven type of air fryer).
Cut cabbage in ½, remove core and then chop into bite sized pieces. Use the other ½ another day or for another recipe. Place cut up cabbage into a medium sized bowl.
Add the rest of the ingredients, and mix well, evenlly coating cabbage. Reserve a little of the paprika to sprinkle on top at the end.
Air fry for 5 minutes. Stir or shake. Air fry for another 5 minutes. Stir. Watch closely for the next 2-3 minutes. Cabbage will start crisping but can over crisp (burn) quickly. I remove from heat once cabbage just starts browning around some of the edges.
Notes
Storage - Place in a sealed container and refrigerate up to 3 days. Tastes great cold in a salad. I prefer to reheat in my air fryer for 3 - 4 minutes. Flavor Variations - The recipe and seasonings provided are a good starting point. Experiment with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder as basics. If you like spicy food, try hotter spices like Cajan seasonings.Love Italian foods?
