Come in! Enjoy my Christmas Foyer

Published: Dec 11, 2015 · Modified: Dec 29, 2022 by Susan Moncrieff · This post may contain affiliate links · 2 Comments

Hi!  Come on in!  Strange weather out there, isn't it?  Especially in Wisconsin!  Come through the door and enjoy a calming Christmas Foyer.

    Christmas Decorations in my Foyer

I say calming because I'm moving away from the fun and crazy bright Christmas decorations.  I need a more calming look.  I think instinctively, sometimes your inner decorator knows what your mind needs.  Is that a crazy theory, or do you think I'm on to something?

These candles!  I LOVE, LOVE the battery operated candles.  Specifically the ones with the timers.  I bought a box of them from Costco last year and purchased another this year.   You program a 5 hour on time just by pressing a button on the bottom.  At 4pm, all the battery operated candles, in my home start turning on.  It starts getting dark and by 4:30, it's dark and my lovely candles are flickering.

It's not a coincidence that they are placed in front of a mirror.  You will see that all through my home!

Another big piece of my Christmas foyer is that huge mirror.  It's from Kirklands.  One day I happened to see it was 20% off with free shipping.  Can you say ordered and payed for in 2 minutes?  I've used it in a couple of spots and love the chippy look.

And my Christmas deer.  Love them!  Run to Costco and buy them now!  The two of them are under $30 and are so cute.  They even come with the Christmas wreath collars.

Let me share a little secret with you.  When I was planning this Christmas Foyer display, and other's in my home, I was looking for an easy transition to a winter display.    The conversion will be so easy with this display, don't you think?
