This dish is a crowd-pleaser that's ready in a flash. With minimal effort and maximum flavor, this recipe is a must-try for any air fryer enthusiast. Before I discovered how much I loved air frying this, I used to pan-fry the kielbasa like for this tomato and kielbasa salad. An air fryer does an excellent job cooking sausages! I've found it's quicker and just as delicious to air fry brats! They are so good this way!

Why I love using this cooking method
The air fryer creates an irresistible crispy exterior while keeping the inside juicy and flavorful.
With minimal prep time and a short cooking process, this recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or impromptu gatherings. It's quick and easy!
Say goodbye to greasy pans and stovetop splatters. The air fryer makes cleanup a breeze because there is less mess when cooking!
Air fried kielbasa can be enjoyed on its own, as part of a larger meal, or as a base for countless recipes. It's so versatile.
Ingredients
All you need to buy is some Polska Kielbasa from the store. That's it! Just an FYI, this is also known as Polish Sausage.
This is what the package looks like. This polska kielbasa is usually in the same refrigerated area as the hot dogs. Hope that helps you find it faster. As an FYI, the best price seems to be at Aldi! There is usually a long expiration date, so I stock up, so I have this available all the time.
This is the traditional one. However, I often buy the turkey based one which is a little healthier.
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 400°F. It takes 2 - 3 minutes.
Step 1
Cut into even sized coin pieces. I cut so I have about 3 'coins' per inch. They don't have to be exact, but aim for similar sizes so they cook more uniformly. Try to place in a single layer. Some overlap is OK. If you have a lot of overlap, you may want to make 2 batches.
I have found parchment paper for my air fryer basket and the sheet underneath. It makes cleanup so much easier!
Step 2
Cook for 4 minutes on each side (total of 8 minute cook time). Because there is pork in it, I cook Kielbasa to the USDA recommended temperature of 145°F. I have never had an issue with it being cooked through when it looks done!
How to serve
A traditional Polish combination is sauerkraut on the side. The Sauerkraut complements the kielbasa's savory flavor.
A bold or sweet mustard can elevate the taste of your kielbasa.I grew up with Dijon mustard and that's what I use.
Sautéed onions and peppers add a sweet and savory touch. Perfect as a side or if you are having Keilbasa on a roll.
Serve kielbasa in a roll with your favorite condiments for a hearty sandwich (see ideas above)
Here is how I ate it after I finished making it. It's a quick meal and I just eat fresh tomatoes from my garden, and some Dijon mustard to dip the Kielbasa in.
Storage
If a package is unopened, the expiration date is long, so I don't freeze it.
After it's cooked, I refrigerate in a closed container for up to 4 days.
If you have leftovers, check out the how-to serve section (above) for how to use them up. I'll confess to occasionally using it as a side to my scrambled eggs at breakfast.
FAQ's
Yes you can. You may need to add 2 - 3 minutes to the cooking time to ensure it's heated through.
I know some people toss the Kielbasa in oil, but I don't see the need. As it cooks, it releases some oil.
