Ingredients
Yellow Cake mix - I like using Betty Crocker or Dunkin Hines cake mixes. Stock up when they are on sale!
½ cup of melted butter - that's one stick.
2 (21 oz each) cans of blueberry pie filling. I'm always a sucker for the cans that say more fruit!
Substitutions
If you have a different brand of cake mix or blueberry pie mix, go ahead and use them. You know I'm all about using what you have! If you love lemon, use lemon cake mix with the blueberries. Blueberries and lemons go together, don't you think?
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Step 1
Melt the butter in a microwave medium-sized bowl.
Step 2
Mix cake mix into melted butter. I use a large fork.
The final texture will be a crumble-like texture (it's not a batter).
Step 3
Add 2 cans of the pie blueberries into a sprayed 9 x 13 casserole dish.
Step 4
Add butter and cake mix on top of the blueberries. Gentle spread, so it's an even layer. DO NOT stir.
Step 5
Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the topping is light brown and the blueberry layer is bubbling.
