This is an easy berry cobbler recipe made with only three ingredients. It is so simple and quick to make; you'll be amazed at how delicious it is with so little effort!

Delicious berries, fresh or frozen, with butter and cake mix, is all you need. Today, I used frozen blueberries and fresh strawberries. Use up the frozen berries in your freezer. Or, if you bought to many berries and they won't last another day, use those!

You can prepare everything in 5 minutes! This is one of those recipes that you can magically whip up when you want a quick but delicious dessert!

Love blueberries; this post shows you how to make this easy blueberry cobbler. Perfect as a to-go snack or even breakfast (we all have those days)!  Or, you can make this three ingredient peach cobbler. It was one of my first three ingredient recipies published many years ago!

    Ingredients

When you have strawberries, blueberries and then add vanilla ice cream on top, what do you have? Around here its a red, white and blue dessert, perfect for those patriotic summer celebrations!

Ingredients for berry cobbler which are blueberries, chopped strawberries, cake mix and a stick of butter.

Yellow Cake mix - I like using Betty Crocker or Dunkin Hines cake mixes. Stock up when they are on sale!

½ cup of melted butter - that's one stick.

6 cups fresh or frozen berries - or a combination of fresh and frozen

    Substitutions

If you have a different brand of cake mix or different berries at home, go ahead and use them. You know I'm all about using what you have! Any mixed fruits that can be used.

    Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

    Step 1
Place your six cups of berries onto a 9 x 13 nonstick sprayed baking dish. Add ½ cup of the cake mix you are going to use as your crumble. Mix. The cake mix will sweeten the berries and also thicken the berry juices.

blueberries and strawberries with cake mix mixed in.

    Step 2
Mix the rest of the cake mix into melted butter. I use a large fork.

The final texture will be a crumble-like texture (it's not a batter).

cake mix and melted butter in a bowl. Baking dish with strawberries and blueberries in the background.

    Step 3
Add cake mix and butter crumble mixture on top of berries. Gently spread it so it evenly coats the berries. Do NOT stir or mix.

    Serving tip

Vanilla ice cream is so delicious on top of this easy blueberry cobbler!

a serving of berry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream on top.

    Storage & reheating

This 3 ingredient blueberry cobbler can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Cool, and then ensure the dish is covered.

Heat individual portions in the microwave or if you have a large amount of cobbler in the original baking dish, heat oven to 350 F and heat for 10 minutes or until cobbler reaches the desired temperature.
