Wood piece (cut from scrap wood or buy pre-cut from a craft store)
Fine sandpaper or sanding block
Paint or stain (any color you like)
Mason jar (regular or wide mouth)
Clamp (take your jar with you to test fit)
Small screw and screwdriver
Picture hanger with nails
Instructions
Sand your wood to remove rough edges. No need for perfection here—just smooth it out so it’s pleasant to touch and paint.
Paint or stain your wood in your desired color. I used three thin coats of paint, letting each coat dry about 30 minutes. I let the final coat dry for 2 hours before moving to the next step.
Widen one of the slots in the hose clamp using a screwdriver to make space for your screw. It doesn’t take much effort—just twist gently until the screw fits through.
Partially insert the screw into the back of the hose clamp to create a starter hole, then attach the hose clamp securely to the wooden board.
Place your mason jar inside the hose clamp and tighten it to hold the jar in place.
Add your picture hanger to the back of the board. Then, hang it on the wall, fill the jar with water, and pop in your favorite flowers!
