These easy 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Spice Donuts (made using a cake recipe) are so easy and take less than 30 minutes to make. They bake up soft, fluffy, and full of cozy fall flavor — perfect for a quick breakfast or a sweet seasonal treat! They are also fun to decorate with a fall theme or colors!
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a donut pan with nonstick spray.
In a large bowl, combine the spice cake mix, canned pumpkin and the egg. Stir until fully mixed.
Spoon or pipe the batter evenly into your prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ⅔ full.
Bake for 13–15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then gently remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
Optional: Dust with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or drizzle with a simple glaze once cooled!
