Notes
These mini hot dog crescent rolls are best served fresh from the oven, but they do store and reheat well if you have leftovers. How to Store: Once the pigs in a blanket have cooled to room temperature, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They’ll stay fresh for about 3 days. How to Reheat: To bring back that just-baked crispness, skip the microwave and use one of these methods:
Oven: Place on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 6–8 minutes until warmed through.
Air Fryer: Reheat at 325°F for 3–5 minutes. This method brings back the flaky texture and works especially well if they were refrigerated
Tips for the Best Mini Crescent Dogs
Keep the dough cold – Warm dough is harder to handle and can tear. Work in small batches if needed.
Use dry sausages – Pat Lil Smokies dry with a paper towel so the dough sticks better and bakes evenly.
Try everything bagel seasoning – Before baking, brush the tops lightly with egg wash and sprinkle with seasoning for extra flavor.
Add cheese – Tuck a small piece of cheddar or American cheese inside with the hot dog for an oozy surprise!
