Notes
Storage Pizza sauce can be stored in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. It can also be stored in the freezer for up to 5 months. Make sure it is frozen in a freezer-safe container. The sauce may appear a bit watery after sitting in the fridge or thawing. Just mix the sauce together before using. This is a cost-saving recipe since you use a small and inexpensive can for the base of your pizza sauce. If buying the ready-to-use sauce, you are paying for a larger container, which costs more to transport and store and takes up more room in your fridge.
