2poundsPork TenderloinsA package of pork loins normally has two pork loins in it and weighs approximately 2 pounds.
⅓cupBrown Sugarpacked
2teaspoonsChili Powder
1teaspoonGarlic Powder
1teaspoonOnion Powder
1teaspoonSmoked PaprikaYou can substitute regular paprika.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. You can line the baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
While the oven heats up, pat your pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. This step helps to remove any excess moisture, ensuring that your pork can get a nice, crispy exterior.
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and smoked paprika. Rub this seasoning blend generously over the pork tenderloin, making sure it’s evenly distributed.
Using a small amount of oil, sear the tenderloins for about 2 - 3 minutes per side over medium-high heat until all sides are lightly browned.
If you used an oven-safe skillet, place it in the oven and roast for 15 - 20 minutes. If you don't have an oven-safe skillet, transfer it to a baking sheet and roast for the same amount of time.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F. If you have a meat thermometer, this is the best way to ensure your pork is cooked to perfection. Keep an eye on it towards the end of the cooking time to avoid overcooking.
Once your pork is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. Resting allows the juices to redistribute inside the meat, ensuring every slice is tender and juicy.
Notes
Storing Leftovers and ReheatingIf you have leftovers, store your pork tenderloin in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. When reheating, slice the pork and heat it in a skillet over medium heat for a few minutes until warmed through. You can also store leftovers in the freezer for up to 2-3 months. To reheat from frozen, let it thaw in the fridge overnight and then warm it in the oven.
