Easy Asparagus Appetizer

A quick and easy asparagus appetizer. Use prosciutto wrapped around the asparagus stock and then baked in the oven for approx. 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus medium sized stalks
  • ½ lb prosciutto I trim the really fatty part off
  • ¼ cup parmesan optional - finely grated

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 F
  • Trim hard stalks off bottom of asparagus
  • Wrap each asparagus with prosciutto
  • Optional parmesan cheese may be added
  • Bake for approximately 10 minutes. You want the asparagus to be slightly crunchy and bright green. The prosciutto will look crunchy and will tighten around the asparagus.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Parmesan cheese is optional and is sprinkled on the wrapped asparagus prior to cooking in oven.
