Pretty Planters Need Pretty Plants!

Some years my planters look totally different and all I've done is change the color of a couple of the annuals

Most planters are traditionally filled with annual flowers. Essentially, that means you have to buy them annually!

They die because of the frost/freezing winter weather in most parts of the U.S..

Why not use perennials in your planters?? Because they are much more expensive and often don't survive the winter in a planter.

Lets look at some examples of each of the three types of plants recommended to create a beautiful, lush flowering planter

The purple/blue petunias below are also a combination filler and spiller type plant.

The draping vinca plant. It's a little more delicate. It's perfect when you want a little less coverage.
